The secrets to turning initial motivation into a habit.

So, you have come to a class and you LOVE it (obviously!) but that initial motivation is waving and you’re finding excuses to not show up for yourself. Here are so tips to keep that initial motivation going!

  1. Fun fun fun, pick a workout you enjoy! Yes, you won’t enjoy every second of every session (abs section in Barre Signature, we are thinking of you!)

  2. Grab a friend and go to classes together, grab a coffee after. I love a coffee and a chat after class and we are so lucky with the gorgeous venue, Chichester Racquets and Fitness Club has a lovely sun terrace and seating area and the friendly staff make delish drinks!

  3. Be kind to yourself. I often mention this in my classes and it liberates people from their own heads; imagine your tank of energy for class or ‘perceived exertion’. 1 is easy and 10 is the most difficult, this varies every class, depending on time of month, how you slept the night before, what you’ve been eating. So each class is taken at it’s own stand alone event, and maybe you feel like you only put in 40% but it might have been 100% of what you had in your energy tank that day and that’s good enough!

  4. Mix it up, try something new. Usually come to a Pilates class? Why not try a Barre Signature this week!

  5. In all of our classes we celebrate YOU, be it your 1st class or 100th class, feel seem, loved and welcomed every time you step into the studio.

  6. Book classes a week or so out, so you have something to look forward to and won’t be tempted not to book. Luckily you can buy a block of 8 classes here at Tide Wellness!
